Quick question. I got a litter robot 2 for about 2 years. It stop working today. The “empty” and “cycle” bottoms doesn’t work but only reset bottom works and “ready” is flashing blue. It's just from the litter getting caught beneath and affecting the adhesive. On the L3, I've seen it recommended to cut a sandwich bag and tape it over this area to prevent pinch censor issues. It doesn't affect the machine at all. I bet you could do the same on the L4 after replacing this piece.

In your picture you took, it’s blurry, but the pinch detectors look pretty dirty. Make sure you clean those metal pieces really well and get any dust and litter out of there.
